Most people, unless they are an artist, don't know what goes into creating a piece of art. It's not always a case of sitting down with a paintbrush and immediately painting the final product directly.
In this sequence, I will show you what went into creating a relatively simple 10inch square acrylic painting, along with mistakes and corrections along the way.
Please be aware that the technique and style of many artists differ - even mine does for different media and works. It is not unusual for artists to create preliminary studies in pencil, or paint, before starting the final work.
Hopefully this example will give you a little more insight into the process of creation.
